Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. Her most well-known work is her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick's recurring role of Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was teacher and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish roots and stated that she is a part of Passover seders.
